They had gone out a few times. Then, he discovered she ate dosai with a knife and fork, just like an arrogant North Indian. And she referred to Abdul Kalam as her role model.
He changed jobs and moved to another city.

You had me in splits reading this!! Especially the "arrogant north indian" part rocks!
KS
Good. But the story lacks something that is preventing it from getting to IMDB top 10. (the boy is a wuss, he should take hint from se7en, especially the lust part).
Do northies eat Roti also in fork and knife?
i did not think it was arrogant but rather funny and stupid when i saw them doing that in a hotel in Connaught place....so we aptly demonstrated how to eat south Indian dosa as it should be eaten....but yeah the arrogant them did not take the cue!
@Arun...that's a good Q...one of the north Indian girl i know, whenever she ate dosa with me used spoon, fork and stuff and she ate roti with hands wonly....so i guess it's their inherent longing/belief that south Indians are inferior that shows up when they try to eat dosa with all the stuff...
"abdul kalam as a role model" is probably the definition of mediocrity.
making a cone out of a piece of roti and filling it with side dish using spoon is more annoying than eating dosai with fork and knife. However the most annoying thing is dropping the "i" off in dosai, vadai etc. And whats with their pronunciation? I hear them say "dosha" as in "naga sarpa dosham" or "sevvai dosham" or onion as in "anniyan".
Ada ada, vadanaatargal mela ivalo gaanda.
Perhaps she's a fan of George Costanza's.
LOL@dosha and knife and fork!
Really? people do that? Okay, I think I need to get out more :\
Loser. Fork kku bayandhu veetaye erikkarane.
No offense, but if you think worse of someone for eating a certain food in a different way than you, then that makes YOU arrogant, not them.
